This evening we are able to announce the return of striker Ross Crawford on loan until the end of the season. The striker who proved a hit last season made the step up to league 2 Brechin City but with strong competition at the top end of the pitch in the Brechin squad Sauchie were able to get a loan deal in place. We do place on record our thanks to Brechin city for getting the deal completed.
We caught up with Ross earlier to discuss his re-joining of the club:
So welcome back to sauchie, what are your initial thoughts about being back?
“I’m delighted to be back and glad that everything got over the line so quickly. I really enjoyed my spell here last season where we had success and I’m hoping that we can start to kick on and push up the table now.”
We hear there were a few clubs after you what made you choose the return to Beechwood?
“Yeah there was a few sniffing around, but once I heard that Sauchie were interested and Brechin would be happy loaning me out I thought it was a no brainer given how well I was treated at the club last season, and at the start of this season where they allowed me to make the move. Now hopefully I can give some thing back to the club.”
Do you have any personal goals/target during your loan?
“I’ve not set myself any personal goals or targets, for me I think that for the team staying in the division is the main target and it’s my job to help the team climb as high as possible by scoring goals.”
